Historic Preservation Workshop: March 2024

Historic properties have unique charm and craftsmanship, and require a special process to renovate them. From foundations to roofs and decades of system renovations, historic properties can be hard to understand. Mark Riccaboni of Southern Brothers Inspections will discuss common defects found in historic homes, what to look out for, and when and how to best address these common issues.

Both residential and commercial renovations within Historic Districts of Jacksonville require a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) from the City of Jacksonville. During our Historic Preservation Workshop, Arimus Wells from the City of Jacksonville's Historic Preservation Division will walk you through that process, what requires a COA and what does not, and how to be most efficient with your time when it comes to renovating a historic property.

If you're planning to purchase or renovate your historic home, you don't want to miss this workshop!

All workshops are free, but attendance is capped at 20 guests, so please register below.
