The Design Review Committee reviews all proposed construction plans in the neighborhood, both new construction and renovations. Being a nationally recognized historic district, our community plays by a different set of rules meant to preserve the neighborhood's aesthetic character. These guidelines are set and enforced by the City of Jacksonville, and plans must be approved by COJ before work begins. Our Design & Review Committee is charged with advising the City on construction plans in our area, helping to keep the guidelines up-to-date, and also helping to guide residents and builders in the approval process before hand.
