Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council (SPAR) is now accepting applications for the Board of Directors. The organization has lead preservation and revitalization efforts in the Springfield community since 1974, and is a key advocate for quality-of-life improvements on behalf of residents, business owners, and stakeholders alike. Applicants should review SPAR's mission, bylaws, strategic plan and timeline, and be enthusiastic about working towards the fulfillment of the goals and vision. Obligations include the monthly Board of Director meetings and other committee meetings or roles which you may volunteer for. Board members have a flexible "give or get" financial goal and will sign a conflict of interest agreement. SPAR Council is a 501c3 organization and carries Board of Directors insurance.

Please include a resume and/or similar description of your experience and skill set. Note that all candidates must be current members of SPAR Council. After an application is submitted, applicants will be scheduled for an interview with the Governance Committee. Recommended applicants will then be presented for approval to the full Board of Directors and the organization's membership.
