Join your neighbors & friends at our annual Hogans Creek Clean Up! Join the Event Page to stay updated.
Over decades of neglect, Hogans Creek has accumulated a huge amount of garbage, bottles, clothing, shopping carts, bicycles, and other random junk clogging the waterway and polluting our parks (see photo from last year!). But, each & every year chip away at that, with the help of the St. Johns Riverkeeper and City of Jacksonville.
This can't be done without selfless volunteers, like yourself. It's a family friendly activity, all ages are welcome, with a lite breakfast (coffee, juice, bagels, etc) provided to volunteers.
We'll provide the trash bags, gloves, and trash grabbers . . . and it would be FANTASTIC if volunteers brought kayaks, pole nets, pole hooks, gloves, canoes, and really anything else to snag trash from the creek. We'll sign off on volunteers hours, give you loads of karma points, and the St. Johns Riverkeeper will give you a free t-shirt too.
Meet at Klutho Park, at the intersection of West 2nd Street and Boulevard.
