As a nonprofit, Springfield Preservation and Revitalization runs on volunteers. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities and our volunteers can choose their own time commitment. Complete the information below to start making a positive difference in the Springfield community!
Right now, we have 2 big volunteer needs:
- Community Cleanups: We need volunteers to help us cleanup and beautify the neighborhood. We host community cleanups at least once per month where volunteers pickup trash and remove litter from different parts of Springfield. See our 2025 Community Cleanup Calendar for more information.
- Beverage Tent Sales: We host 20-25 free events per year for the community, and one of the ways we keep our events free is by selling beverages and merchandise during the event. Currently, we need volunteers at our March 1 SPARdi Gras, March 14 St. Patrick's Day, April 26-27 Home Tour, July 4 Throwback Baseball Game, November 8 Jacksonville PorchFest, November 22 Holiday Tree Setup, and November 28 Holiday Tree Lighting events. If you are a business owner and would like to schedule a volunteer day with your employees, please contact us at [email protected] to discuss - we have a number of opportunities available for larger groups of volunteers throughout the year.
