As a nonprofit, we run on volunteers. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities and our volunteers can choose their own time commitment. Complete the information below to start making a positive difference in the Springfield community!
Our current needs:
- Jacksonville PorchFest 2026: We need volunteer support with Jacksonville PorchFest on Saturday November 7, especially the 3rd Shift from 3:45-6:00 PM. If you are available to volunteer, please sign up at jacksonvilleporchfest.org/volunteer. If you are already volunteering for another shift but can switch to 3rd Shift, please email [email protected] and we can make that change.
- Holiday Tree Setup: We need volunteer support to set up the tree in Sesquicentennial Park for the Holiday Tree Lighting. We'll meet on Saturday November 21 at 10:30am in Sesquicentennial Park (1527 N Main) to sort ornaments and prep the tree. RSVP is not required but encouraged at tinyurl.com/TreeSetUp to help us plan. Sorting ornaments is a kid-friendly job so bring the whole family!
- Community Cleanups: We need volunteers to help us beautify the neighborhood. We host community cleanups at least once per month where volunteers pickup trash and remove litter from different parts of Springfield. See our 2026 Community Cleanup Calendar for more information.
