Vaughn Murphy has been settling in to his new role as Marketing Coordinator with SPAR. Please give him a warm welcome when you see him! 

A little about Vaughn:

Vaughn was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, and attended First Coast High School. By the 10th grade, he was the school’s band brass section leader and by senior his year, the band’s Head Drum Major leading over 100 members. In that same year, Vaughn dove headfirst into DJing when the DJ for the school’s band party got sick and Vaughn jumped in to save the day with his stack of CDs. Since then Vaughn (more famously known as DJ Stylez WorldWide) has grown to work with some of the biggest artists in the music industry. In 2003, he was the hype DJ for the “I’m Serious Mini Tour” featuring TI, Lil Wayne, Master P, Young Buck, Three Six Mafia and in 2004, the official DJ of the ten-city tour.

In 2005, DJ Stylez’ ability to rock a party and tell a story with his musical sets led him to be the DJ of choice for artists and celebrities like Ludacris, Trick Daddy, MC Hammer, Ced The Entertainer, Kat Williams during the 2005 Super Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida. While working at the 2005 Super Bowl parties, Stylez met Emmy Award winners Timbaland & Justin Timberlake’s official DJ, DJ Freestyle Steve who would then go on to become his manager. This new team only increased Stylez visibility in the DJ world and club circuit taking him all over the world to spin in cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, Philly, Cleveland, Atlanta, and then overseas to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Casablanca, and Morocco earning him the name DJ Stylez WorldWide! He has also been the show DJ of multiple artists such as Usher, Chris Brown, Neyo, Akon, & Justin Timberlake.

In 2017, Vaughn decided to put the turntables down in exchange for a laptop and camera to chase his passion to create imaging for others. Working with many businesses between New Orleans and Jacksonville, he loves to help small businesses to increase their reach, visibility, image, and marketing strategies. He’s worked for multiple Tech Companies and has been Google Certified four times to help develop his knowledge and to be able to manage Search Engine Marketing Teams.

On why he's excited to join SPAR: 

Growing up at my grandmother’s house in Springfield, I’ve seen the drastic change SPAR has done. It galvanizes me to want to help, contribute, and continue to further the development of Springfield. I’m truly excited to work in a place where I can use my creativity to excite others to move, work, and play in the Springfield area. I’m also enjoying meeting the business owners of Springfield who help shape the foundation of the area for so many years.

On what he loves most about Springfield:

In my spare time, you’ll find me walking around the neighborhood taking photos and hanging with neighbors.
