Springfield Preservation and Revitalization (SPAR) is excited to announce the SPAR Boost Gift Card Campaign to support Historic Springfield’s small businesses in these challenging times. 

In recent years, the surge of brick-and-mortar small businesses investing in Historic Springfield has brought much needed life and vibrancy to the community. Small businesses across America are the most vulnerable due to the Stay-at-Home restrictions. To support those in Historic Springfield, SPAR plans to conduct the SPAR Boost Gift Card Campaign to support the local economy alongside smaller promotional campaigns appreciating frontline workers and first responders, such as the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, and healthcare workers.

"For the past few weeks, SPAR has been focused on finding resources and formulating a plan to help those who have invested so much into our community, at the time they need it most," said Kelly Rich, SPAR Executive Director. "Our local brick and mortar businesses are the anchor of Historic Springfield, and we want to help during this time of increased difficulty however possible."

When a customer purchases a gift card at a participating small business either online or in person, the SPAR Boost Gift Card Campaign will add to the value of the purchase with two options: a $20 gift card SPARBoosted to $30 or a $50 gift card SPARBoosted to $75. Customers are limited to one SPARBoosted gift card purchase per person per business, but are encouraged to buy additional SPARBoosted gift cards from other businesses in the neighborhood.
