SPAR Council was recently awarded a grant from the Art Ventures Fund of the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida to provide membership in the National Main Street Center and allow SPAR Executive Director Christina Parrish to attend the National Main Street Conference held last month in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

This four day conference offered dozens of workshops on topics related to the improvement of historic business districts, a creative placemaking boot camp, and opportunities to learn from hundreds of preservation experts from all parts of the country.  We’ll share more information about the conference and opportunities for Springfield on July 7th at a community meeting with special guest Ronnie Wood, coordinator of the Florida Main Street Program.
