Project Canopy

Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council has partnered with the City of Jacksonville to bring 270 new trees to Springfield!

Trees increase property value (up to $20,000), provide shade that decreases your utility bill, and reduce flooding in the streets by absorbing water. This initiative promotes walkability and quality of life improvements for residents and visitors alike. It also highlights the existing urban canopy that is a beloved and historic feature of our unique community.

We would like to thank our project sponsors Terrawise Homes, House of Leaf & Bean, and Liberty Landscape Supply for their contributions and steadfast dedication to promoting the development of the urban forest in Springfield.

Head to jacksonville.gov/trees if you would like to request a tree to be planted in the right of way in front of your home or property.
