In 2024, Springfield Preservation and Revitalization set an ambitious goal: to establish an endowment for the benefit of the community in honor of our 50th Anniversary. In February 2025, we officially opened our endowment with The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida.
Our endowment provides us with a powerful tool to strengthen our financial and operating capacity and to ensure our legacy and longevity for decades to come. Gifts to the endowment make an immediate impact. We have seen significant growth in the past few years:
- Since 2021, our budget has more than doubled.
- We have added a new program, the Springfield Cleanup Corps, and 4 new staff to beautify our neighborhood.
- PorchFest has grown into the largest single-day music festival in the City of Jacksonville.
- We have facilitated over $10 million dollars in infrastructure investments in the last 5 years alone, including Main Street Resurfacing, the 7th Street Drainage Project, and the 4th Street Brick Repave.
In addition, interest in Springfield has never been higher. We have over $80 million in construction projects currently underway in the neighborhood and tens of millions more being proposed in the near future. These next few years will be critical, and funding our endowment ensures that we have the financial resources necessary to continue our preservation and revitalization work for our community.
Please consider donating today. Donate below or via check payable to SPAR Council and mailed to 1321 N Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206.

Celebrating the opening of our endowment, May 19, 2025.
