The Springfield real estate market is hot, with many buyers actively searching for historic properties. Join SPAR for this year's Preservation Workshop Series, focusing on buying and owning historic homes.

Historic homes have unique charm, craftsmanship and also a special process to renovate them. Property renovations within Historic Districts of Jacksonville require a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) from the City of Jacksonville. Learn about that process, what requires a COA and what does not, and how to be most efficient with your time when it comes to renovating a historic home. Join the Event Page now.

Our other upcoming workshops include:
> Purchasing & Inspection a Historic Home on August 31st
> Insuring Your Historic Home on September 7th

All workshops start at 6pm and are located at the Wells Fargo Community Learning Center at 1601 N. Main Street (enter through the back door by the ATM, take the elevator to the 2nd floor). Free and open to the public, thanks in part to support from the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville.
