2014 Annual Springfield Community Meeting

Join your neighbors and friends at the 2014 Annual Springfield Community Meeting.

It's a great way to see what's happening in our neighborhood, meet new neighbors, become a member if you like, and see what's on upcoming in our area.

New Board Members will also be voted on (members vote, but you can become a member at there, if you like) and we'll have a Year-in-Review of activities and accomplishments. Refreshments too.

Get there early for a good seat!

Date & Time: Thursday, October 23rd @ 6pm.

Location: Wells Fargo Community Center (1601 N. Main Street), 2nd floor, enter through back door.

    One of the guest presenters at the Annual Community Meeting will be from the Jessie B duPont Fund, the multi-million dollar non-profit headquartered here in Jacksonville. They are looking at local Jacksonville real state trends to help developers and the City of Jacksonville determine where resources and money should be spent to get their best bang for the buck. This is expected to be great news for the Springfield Historic District, as the study is likely to indicate that SPR is ripe for a greater revitalization, and thus recommend greater investment by COJ and private entities. The same effort was completed in New Orleans, Philadelphia, Baltimore, etc with great results. Hear all the details on October 23rd! Here's an example of their study results in Baltimore:
